Drew this up in my sketchbook while watching Amelie. Oh lawd, do I love that movie ;_;. It's sooo beautiful and all the characters are so cute and quirky. *sigh*, such a pretty story, too. Ooou, and the music @_@
Aaaaaanyway, I called this one "Candy Swirls" because the swirls reminded me of those lollipops : O. I did this one using staedler inking pens, prismacolor markers for the red, and white acrylic paint for the dots. I played with the color balance in Photoshop to give a more sepia-like tone.
I love how her hair, while very easily relatable to candy, can also be seen as hair. That sounded better in my head, but I think I still got my point across- it's very well done. ^^
I really liked the movie, but I think the one thing that could have made it better is a little less useless sexual references. Don't get me wrong, I'm as dirty-minded as any other male teenager- but some stuff was creepy! D= The sex in the bathroom, with all the shaking? -cries-
this picture makes me happy <3 it reminds me of candy canes and lollipops.
